In January of 2017, an ad circulated around Facebook for a free Thoroughbred… with one caveat. The new owner pays for his surgery. You see, Selection, once a promising race horse, suffered from an injury that resulted in a chipped bone; a chip that would have to be removed if he would ever be sound again.

Serenity Acres Horse Rescue learned of a 10-month-old thoroughbred colt that needed more help than the current owner could give. Stepping out on faith, they rescued the young colt, knowing he would have to have surgery to repair the club foot that he had been born with, and named him Vivaldi.
